The Remediation of post-industrial sites areas for residential projects is a relatively new practice on the Polish construction market. It involves, in short, removing harmful substances from both the soil and the ground water so as to make the area safe for people and the environment. Experiences from other countries shows that historical contamination can be fully and safely removed and there are have been no contraindications against building residential projects in such cleared areas. The process is a challenge as well as an opportunity for investors, development and construction companies as well as local communities and, first of all, apartment buyers. CFE Polska and Bpi BPI Polska, which have carried out one of the first successful enterprises of this kind in Poland, will share their experiences of this project during at the meeting, which is devoted to the remediation of post-industrial land.
